World Liberty Financial launches USD1 natively on Canton Network

By Diego Whitfield · · 1 min read

World Liberty Financial has brought its USD1 stablecoin natively to the Canton Network, expanding the reach of a token that has quickly climbed into the ranks of the largest dollar-pegged assets in the crypto market.

A Fast-Growing Stablecoin

USD1, issued by the Trump-affiliated World Liberty Financial, has rapidly established itself as a major player in the stablecoin sector. Industry data pegs its market capitalization at more than $4 billion, making it the sixth-largest stablecoin currently in circulation.

The token's growth underscores the intensifying competition in the dollar-pegged asset space, where issuers are racing to capture market share and forge partnerships with major blockchain infrastructure providers.

USD1 has surged to become the sixth-largest stablecoin, commanding a market cap north of $4 billion.

Expanding to Canton Network

By launching natively on the Canton Network, USD1 gains access to a blockchain platform designed with institutional use cases in mind. Native issuance means the stablecoin operates directly on the network rather than relying on bridging mechanisms, which can reduce friction and improve settlement efficiency.

The move signals World Liberty Financial's ambition to position USD1 as a versatile settlement asset across multiple blockchain ecosystems. Canton's focus on privacy and compliance features has made it attractive to financial institutions exploring tokenized assets.

For USD1, broadening its footprint across networks could help sustain its momentum and deepen liquidity as it competes with established stablecoin giants.

  • USD1 ranks as the sixth-largest stablecoin by market cap
  • The token's valuation exceeds $4 billion
