Trump sues JPMorgan for $5B! Ledger prepares for $4B IPO! “Crypto Adoption is no longer reversible” says PWC!

By Diego Whitfield · · 2 min read

Crypto markets pulled back on Tuesday even as precious metals rallied, with Bitcoin slipping near $89,100 and Ethereum falling around $2,925 — a divergence that unfolded against a backdrop of major industry headlines, from a reported $4 billion Ledger IPO to a $5 billion lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump against JPMorgan.

Digital Assets Cool as Metals Heat Up

Digital assets moved lower on Tuesday, drifting in the opposite direction of a surging precious metals market where gold pushed toward $5,000 and silver neared the $100 mark. Bitcoin eased roughly 1% to hover around $89,100, while Ethereum lost about 2% to trade near $2,925.

The weakness rippled across the market's largest tokens. Solana declined 2% to $127, and XRP dropped a similar amount to $1.90. Yet a few altcoins bucked the broader trend, posting sharp gains on an otherwise subdued session.

  • LayerZero's ZRO token jumped 15%
  • Axie Infinity's AXS advanced 10%
  • Dash gained 8%

Those standout performers served as a reminder that momentum can build in isolated corners of the market even when the overall mood turns cautious.

Ledger Lines Up a $4 Billion Listing

Hardware wallet maker Ledger is reportedly gearing up for an initial public offering that could carry a valuation of roughly $4 billion. The firm has reportedly brought on Goldman Sachs, Jefferies and Barclays to steer the process.

The plan arrives shortly after custody provider BitGo made its own market debut, with its shares spiking early before easing to just above the $18 offering price by the close of its first trading day. Taken together, the two moves point to a renewed willingness among crypto infrastructure companies to test public markets.

"Crypto adoption is no longer reversible" — a phrase from PwC that captures how deeply digital assets have woven themselves into the financial system.

Washington Ramps Up the Rhetoric

In a move that dominated headlines, President Donald Trump filed a $5 billion lawsuit against JPMorgan, accusing the bank of politically motivated "debanking." The claim feeds into an intensifying national argument over whether financial institutions unfairly cut off clients based on their industry or political ties.
