European stablecoin issuer AllUnity launches USD stablecoin USDAU

By Priya Chen · · 2 min read

AllUnity, the European stablecoin issuer, has unveiled USDAU, a US dollar-backed digital token that marks its fourth fiat-pegged stablecoin as the firm broadens its regulated offerings across multiple currencies.

A Growing Multi-Currency Lineup

USDAU joins an established roster of AllUnity stablecoins that already spans the euro, the Swiss franc and the Swedish krona. With the addition of a dollar-denominated token, the issuer now covers several of the world's most widely used currencies, positioning itself to serve businesses and users who need exposure to the greenback within a European regulatory framework.

The launch signals AllUnity's ambition to become a comprehensive provider of fiat-backed digital assets rather than a single-currency operator. By offering a dollar stablecoin alongside its European currency tokens, the company aims to appeal to a broader base of institutional and retail participants seeking stable, on-chain value.

A dollar stablecoin built under European rules bridges two of crypto's most important worlds.

Operating Under MiCA Rules

Each of AllUnity's tokens, including the new USDAU, is issued in compliance with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, known as MiCA. The landmark framework sets standards for stablecoin issuers operating in the bloc, covering reserve requirements, transparency and consumer protection.

The MiCA regime has reshaped how stablecoins are launched and managed in Europe, pushing issuers toward stricter oversight and clearer accountability. AllUnity's decision to anchor its expansion within this regulatory structure underscores a wider industry shift toward compliance-first product development.

Key features of the AllUnity approach include:

  • Fiat-backed tokens tied to major currencies
  • Compliance with the EU's MiCA framework
  • A multi-currency strategy spanning euro, franc, krona and now the dollar

As competition among regulated stablecoin issuers intensifies, AllUnity's move to add a dollar token could help it capture demand from users who want the stability of the greenback paired with the assurances of European regulation.
